Frequently asked questions
What counts as a "business" build here?
Anything with real users, real data, or real money attached: client portals, internal tools, SaaS MVPs, apps you'd hand to a customer. The bar isn't company size, it's stakes. If the app breaking would cost you a client or a workday, it's a business build.
How are these rankings different from the personal-project ones?
Business rankings weigh logins, permissions, data handling, and what maintenance looks like after launch. A tool can be a blast for a weekend prototype and still rank low here because nobody wants to debug auth in front of a client.
Are these rankings based on actual builds?
Yes. Every list is ordered by what we shipped with each tool, what it cost in credits or subscription fees, and where it broke. When a claim comes from community reports instead of our own build, we say so in the ranking.
